Chapter 18: The Band of Seven.
During their march, Inuyasha and his companions felt a weird but familiar sense. Sango decided to go and check and retrieved her younger brother Kohaku, still under Naraku’s control. But it’s not all; Kohaku is also protected by a weird family of demons called the Band of Seven. First they met a shemale-demon (cannot figure if it’s a man or a woman) on the road.
(Jakotsu)
The demon claimed to have a crush on Inuyasha but turned its mind on Miroku after further reflections. They then decided to fight to get rid of him/her so they could catch up on Kohaku and from there they would probably retrieve Naraku as well.
But before they could finish the fight, a poison started rising in the air and they all had to get away; even the shemale-demon.
Then they arrived near a village that was attacked by a zombie-demon.

So Inuyasha got rid of him. Inuyasha then smelt the shemale-demon and decided to go and take a look of his own. Meanwhile, the others were attacked by the same poison that interrupted the fight between Inuyasha and the shemale-demon earlier.
The poison was coming from a poison-demon.

The poison-demon sent a poison that made Sango, Miroku and Kagome fall asleep. Not affected because he is a demon, Shippo returned to Inuyasha to warn him, both leaving the shemale-demon once more, but when they came back, Sesshomaru already saved them and killed the poison-demon. Apparently, Sesshomaru felt Kohaku’s presence and thought he would find Naraku; but to his deception, he decided to leave.
Inuyasha then took Miroku, Sango and Kagome away so they could take a rest and wait until they awake. Unfortunately, another member from the Band of Seven, a mechanic-demon

had catch up on them and started to attack Inuyasha. So Inuyasha decided to send Shippo to find a safe place to put the others still affected by the poison. Shippo did find a place indeed, a temple now ruled by a fire-demon.

Inuyasha killed the mechanic-demon and searched for Shippo and the others. He finally found them at the temple, but the fire-demon was gone and the temple was on fire. Inuyasha managed to get everyone out of it, and when he did, Kagome, Miroku and Sango finally awaked from their long resting sleep.
On the other side, Kikyo, still heading for the temple where she must bring the old man’s ``mage``, stopped in her way when she felt a demonic aura in a near village.
When she went to see, she only found a doctor, almost a saint, taking care of people.
But suddenly the village was attacked by Ginkotsu, who had been reborn by Renkotsu.
Ginkotsu, Renkotsu and Jakotsu lunched an attack at the saint doctor. And before he died, he transformed into a claw-demon.
(Suikotsu)
Being awakened back from his human body (jail-body), the claw-demon first wanted to warm up with Inuyasha and started to strike at him with everything he got. Seeing that Inuyasha was a bit more taught than he thought physically, he decided to play a little rough on the emotion side, lunching a terrible attack at Kikyo. But Miroku saved her.
Suikotsu then decided to leave with the other members of his band and headed for Mount Hakurei to give a little visit to the leader of the Band of Seven,
(Bankotsu)
who was waiting for them near a vast castle. And this vast castle yet happens to be the castle where the general responsible for their death lies.
The Band of Seven then decided to attack the castle to get their revenge; putting it into ruins in a few minutes.
On the other side, Inuyasha and his friends brought Kikyo in a small village so she could take a rest, and then they went to Mount Hakurei.
But they soon discovered that Mount Hakurei is protected by a purified-barrier. So they decided to leave.
Back to the ruined castle, Koga made his appearance in front of Bankotsu, asking him where is Naraku. Bankotsu answered with a strike of his own. But before he could hit Koga, Inuyasha arrived. Bankotsu decided to take Inuyasha in a fight while Renkotsu discovered that Kagome could see the Shikon Jewels he stole from her when he tried to kill her at the temple. Renkotsu tried to kill Kagome but thanks to Koga, she got out of it alive. Bankotsu found out later when they left about the plans of Renkotsu and took the shards of Kagome from him. Instead, he put them in his weapon amplifying its power.
Meanwhile, Sesshomaru stopped in his way because of the purified-barrier of Mount Hakurei. Yet he quickly discovered that there were demons on the other side of the barrier; witch was impossible…
And those demons even appeared to be Naraku’s demons, meaning that Naraku is probably hiding inside Mount Hakurei.
